Helpful Moving Tips
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Helpful Hints:
- Having all your items packed and ready to go will make your
move faster and save you money!
- Pack all pictures, lamps, mirrors, glass, flower arrangements,
electronic devices, etc…anything that could shift and break
in a truck. If moving local, you might want to consider moving
these items yourself. These items must be boxed and they require
awkward size boxes, this could cost a lot of money.
- You may keep your clothing in dressers, as long as it isn’t
something extremely heavy such as a Triple Dresser or Armoire
or even something fragile, like an Antique.
- To save money and time, have your Refrigerator, Washer &
Dryer disconnected. If needed we can disconnect your appliances,
but an Appliance Waiver will be asked to be signed by the customer.
(We can’t disconnect Gas appliances)
- Secure all your valuables
- We are not allowed to transport anything flammable or combustible,
this is a Federal Law. EXAMPLES: gas, oil, cleaning supplies,
aerosol cans, etc.
- Plants (real/artificial) and pots cannot be guaranteed.
- Plants are also against the law to transport across state
lines.

Company Cost Requirements:
- Each job requires a Trip charge; this charge varies from job
to job and can be given once the pickup and delivery address
has been given.
- Local moves that may require more than one truck may be cheaper
to make two trips with one truck, if the distances between the
two homes are close enough. If you are not sure you can always
ask what we would recommend.
- Time starts when we arrive at the first location and continues
until the truck is unloaded at the final destination. The time
stops then plus the travel charge, which depends on the location
of your house.
- Additional charges occur for moving pianos upstairs, moving
baby grand pianos, and moving items to the third floor. We also
need to know about long carries (over 100ft) and staircases
that are narrow or have sharp turns.
- We have a standard insurance of .60 per pound per article.
In order for the company to be liable for items packed in boxes;
we must pack, move & unpack those items.
